Labelling our children

Many children are in classrooms that have standadised tests, afterall this can be a useful tool for our teachers when used appropriately. Have you noticed how they know exactly where they rank in relation to the other children?

So what happens when our schools are ranked against each other? How is a low decile rated school (and therefore low socio economic community) going to do against a high decile rated school? What do you think? How will this help to close the gap between those that have and those that have not?
