A large group of Invercargill principals have decided they will collectively boycott the Ministry of Education’s National Standards implementation workshops, aimed at preparing teachers for National Standards.

The decision follows a meeting attended by 17 out of the 23 principals in the Invercargill area.

In what is a unanimous and joint position, they say all the schools represented at the meeting will not be taking part in the Ministry’s workshops.
