Steiner Parents take up the campaign after Government threatens to withdraw funding

Steiner parents are outraged the Government has told Steiner schools that they must do National Standards or lose their funding.  They've set up a great website  http://www.protect.org.nz/

I've heard lots of stories from both parents and teachers about how National Standards have impacted on children.  It's hard to believe that we can accept a situation where a six year old is told they are "well below standard".  I can't see how anyone could believe that would make them feel good about school!
